Step 3. This should activate a dropdown menu, where you will see a Preferences tab.

We are now in the General pane of the Preferences tab, and you should see the option Open folders in.

Now anytime you tap the Dropbox icon in your menu bar and select Folders, your Dropbox Folder will open in a native Finder window.

It feels a lot more integrated with macOS, and again it allows you to skip dealing with the desktop Dropbox app.
